Woodwork Class - Make a Cutting Board
In this three-hour beginners woodwork course, you'll make a cutting board. You'll also learn how to safely and confidently use various machinery and hand tools in the shop, including the miter saw, band saw, drill press, and sanders—with the possibility of the table saw, jointer, and planer. Draw your own shape, and then make it! It's a great experience and you'll end up with a beautiful cutting board for you or a gift.
Availability is limited to eight people per session. The class is held in our workshop at 1340 E Pender St. in Vancouver. Materials are supplied. This is an entry-level class and is designed for students with little or no woodworking experience.
Note: Our Women's Only class is just that, a safe space for all women to learn about woodworking in a fun and encouraging environment. Our in-house woodworker, Alice will be your instructor that day. She'll teach you to be a master by the end of the class. This class is also trans and nonbinary inclusive.
